Voici le dernier en date éditorial du site refondu, article consacré à une rentrée bien chargée ! (j’écris « refondu », mais il n’est hélas pas encore débarrassé de tous ses bugs, désolé, mais on y travaille, merci de votre patience). Cet éditorial donc, est là pour vous parler de la rentrée des salons du whisky & autres spiritueux, une rentrée plutôt chargée :
Le reportage sur le Salon « Club-Expert DUGAS 2025 », dont vous trouverez le lien plus bas, a demandé plus de temps que prévu, notamment pour vérifier des données informatives sur les 72 whiskies et autres spiritueux/vins dégustés dont je vous parle dans le reportage, qui passe sur quelques autres bouteilles dégustées, d’ailleurs, donc il n’est pas 100 % exhaustif sur ma visite, mais presque...(disons à 90%). Aussi, ironiquement, il sort le premier jour du Salon « Whisky Live Paris 2025 », auquel je me rendrais aussi bien sûr, mais plutôt demain & lundi (n’hésitez pas à me saluer si vous me croisez), entre autres événements, dont au moins encore un salon encore à venir, « France Quintessence », le 10 Octobre à Paris également, et peut être « Made In France », en Novembre, si je peux. Au passage, je réfléchis encore à comment célébrer mes 60 ans en Novembre également (visite de distillerie ? soirée spéciale ? je ne sais pas encore !).
A NOTER cette année, une grosse différence :
Le reportage sur le Salon Club-Expert DUGAS 2025 est donc écrit et non tourné en vidéo pour ma chaîne Youtube (même si je serais amené à l’évoquer par la suite, notamment dans ma vidéo de fin d’année ou début d’année prochaine qui sera intitulée « My Favorite Whiskies of the Year 2025 »), tandis que celui sur le Salon Whisky Live Paris sera, lui, uniquement tourné en vidéo pour ma chaîne, soit en vidéo enregistrée, puis diffusée, soit en direct (live) avec si possible un montage PDF des visuels des bouteilles et moments forts du salon. Le salon étant devenu bien trop grand pour publier un reportage dans les semaines qui suivent...
Bien sûr, je continuerais dès que possible d’alimenter le site en nouvelles entrées distilleries & chroniques de whiskies (il y a toujours sinon plus d’échantillons, de bouteilles à chroniquer, alors patience), et certains seront plutôt d’abord visibles sur ma chaîne Youtube...à suivre !
-Un reportage sur le « Salon Club-Expert DUGAS 2025 » qui se tenait les 14 & 15 Septembre au Carreau du Temple à Paris en Mai, visite au cours de laquelle j’ai pu déguster quelques belles nouveautés, notamment les 3 premiers compte d’âge permanents de la distillerie ROZELIEURES (dont un 18 ans d’âge !). J’ai d’ailleurs récemment ajouter cette distillerie comme nouvelle entrée « distillerie » dans le désormais unique menu de gauche (voir plus bas), les notes de dégustation de plusieurs versions étant à venir dès que possible…mais notez que le reportage en contient de brèves, concernant 7 whiskies :

Here is the last editorial of the revamped site, an article dedicated to a busy back-to-school season! (I write 'revamped', but it is unfortunately not yet rid of all its bugs, sorry, but we are working on it, thank you for your patience). This editorial is therefore here to talk to you about the start of the whisky & other spirits shows, a rather busy start:
The report on the « Club-Expert DUGAS 2025 » show (« Salon » means « Show » in English, mind you), which you will find the link below, took more time than expected, notably to check informative data on the 72 whiskies and other spirits/wines tasted that I am talking about in the report, which passes over a few other bottles tasted, by the way, so it is not 100% exhaustive on my visit, but almost...(say at 90%). Also, ironically, it comes out on the first day of the « Whisky Live Paris 2025 » Show, which I would also go to of course, but rather tomorrow & Monday (feel free to greet me if you see me there), among other events, including at least one more show yet to come, « France Quintessence », on October 10 in Paris as well, and maybe « Made In France », in November, if I can. By the way, I am still thinking about how to celebrate my 60th birthday in November as well (distillery visit, special evening, I don’t know yet !).
To note this year, a big difference:
The report on the Club-Expert DUGAS 2025 show is therefore written and not filmed in video for my YouTube channel (even if I would be led to mention it later, especially in my end-of-year or beginning-of-next-year video which will be titled 'My Favorite Whiskies of the Year 2025'), while the one about the upcoming Whisky Live Paris 2025 show will only be filmed as a video for my channel, either in recorded video, then broadcast, or in a live show form, with if possible a PDF montage of the visuals of the bottles and highlights of the show. The show having become much too big to publish a report in the weeks that follow...
Of course, I will continue as soon as possible to feed the site with new distillery & whisky chronicles entries (there are always if not more samples, bottles to review, so patience), and some will rather be visible first on my YouTube channel... to be continued!
-A report on the « Club-Expert DUGAS » show which was held on September 14 & 15 at the Carreau du Temple in Paris in May, visit during which I was able to taste some beautiful new products, notably the first 3 permanent age statements of the ROZELIEURES distillery (including a 18 yo !). C’est non sans une certaine émotion que je reviens vers vous après une longue absence et une refonte complète du site grâce à une aide familiale que je salue ici (via Frédérick, mon beau-frère), étant auteur mais encore une fois pas technicien informatique ni programmeur…Le site était devenu illisible suite à de multiples bugs, le portail (ou « template ») étant devenu obsolète, les anomalies visuelles empêchaient de lire correctement les articles sur le mode blog comme les présentations de distilleries avec notes de dégustation en lien. Nous avons pu récupérer une partie des anciens articles & présentations de divers sujets, mais pas tous, donc il reste un gros travail encore à faire, ce parallèlement à mon activité sur ma chaîne Youtube & mes réseaux sociaux dont principalement Instagram…
Mon site est désormais adapté aux téléphones portables, et le fait qu’il n’y ait plus qu’un seul menu, à gauche (qui se retrouve sous cet éditorial si vous regardez cela sur un téléphone portable). Il y a aussi de nouvelles entrées distilleries & assembleurs, 5 à l’heure ou je vous écris, à savoir ARDNAMURCHAN, ARTESIA (TOS Distillerie), EDDU (Distillerie des Menhirs), HAUTEFEUILLE, JOHNNIE WALKER, également des mises à jour sur 10 distilleries, mais des dizaines d’autres sont encore à venir, ainsi que les nouveaux articles, en vous remerciant de votre patience & d’avance de vos retours…J’espère offrir davantage de complémentarité qu’auparavant, entre ma chaîne & ce site de whisky, mais cela sera bien sûr ajusté à l’usage...Aussi j’ai tellement de whiskies à chroniquer, et notamment de nombreux échantillons, qu’il faudra les traiter en priorité sur le site, ou cela se prête mieux je trouve qu’en vidéo, à voir...

It is not without a certain emotion that I return to you after a long absence and a complete redesign of the site thanks to a family help I greet here (via Frédérick, my brother-in-law), being author but again not a computer technician or programmer... The site had become illegible due to multiple bugs, the portal (or “template”) having become obsolete, visual anomalies prevented correct reading of articles on blog mode such as distillery presentations with tasting notes linked. We were able to recover some of the old articles & presentations of various topics, but not all, so there is still a lot of work to be done, this parallel to my activity on my YouTube channel & my social networks, mainly Instagram…
My website is now adapted to mobile phones, and the fact that there is only one menu left (which can be found under this editorial if you look at it on a mobile phone). There are also new distilleries & assemblers entries, 5 at the time I am writing to you, namely ARDNAMURCHAN, ARTESIA (TOS Distillerie), EDDU (Distillerie des Menhirs), HAUTEFEUILLE, JOHNNIE WALKER, also updates on 10 distilleries, but dozens more are still coming, as well as the new articles, thanking you for your patience & in advance for your feedback... I hope to offer more complementarity than before, between my chain & this whisky site, but it will of course be adjusted to the use... Also I have so many whiskies to review, and especially many samples, that it will be necessary to treat them first on the site, or it lends itself better I find in video, to see...

-A Report about my recent VISIT to the craft HAUTEFEUILLE farm-distillery in the month of May, during which I did create a single malt blend as part of their "Assemblage Workshop" (see pictures above & below). I have just added this distillery as a new entry in the menu, plus a first tasting note of one of their whiskies (Warning, though, because the report is very long, I didn't translate it, but, with the help of Google translate maybe, you can have a read it. That said, there is & will always be an English Summary of all the tasting notes that will be posted on the left/brands menu, so you can have an idea of what I think of HAUTEFEUILLE whiskies there...) :
